Program Background

  • Serving the homeless since 1999
  • Providing a convenient and accessible downtown location at 243 W. Cerro Gordo Street
  • A safe refuge from the streets - a drop-in facility
  • Meeting individuals on their "'own turf"
  • Offering access to support services 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 365 days a year
  • Designed to build trust and lasting relationships with the hardest to reach chronically homeless
  • There were 2,282 unduplicated individuals served during fiscal year 2015 (July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015)
  • Average daily attendance is 130 individuals
  • Targets persons in the community who suffer from homelessness, Mental Illness, Substance Abuse, or Extreme Poverty

  • Nurse practitioner through Crossing Healthcare
  • Connection to community resources- basic needs, food, shelter/housing, clothing, medical needs, job opportunities
