Across the nation, behavioral health care has been underfunded and access to care has been unattainable to many who need it most. Heritage Behavioral Health Center now operates as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic or CCBHC. Many organizations across the country are becoming CCBHCs as more states adopt the model. This new model of care includes a variety of program requirements that our organization meets.

These programs include a whole range of services covering mental health, substance use, primary care, and more. These services enable our organization to be more flexible in the care we provide and focus on whole-person care. This new model also makes changes to the way state funds are provided to cover the care we provide for the community. The CCBHC model ensures our organization and other organizations like us from around the state and throughout the country can continue providing whole-person care to anyone anytime anywhere!
