About the Event

What is Youth Mental Health First Aid? Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health concerns or substance use in children and adolescents. This 7.5 hour training gives you the skills you need to provide initial support to youth who may be developing a mental health or substance use concern and connect them to appropriate care.


Reasons to become a Youth Mental Health First Aider:

• Always being prepared to help youth in need

• Mental health challenges are common, especially in children and adolescents

• Mental health challenges can occur without warning

• You care and are someone who wants to help
